Beck Lake BBQ

Postby JustinCarf » Aug Mon 03, 2015 12:47 pm

Not only is Kevin the "Bass Man"...he's also a grill master who has earned a charred black belt in grilled meats, from years of experience.

It was a great day to be outside, paddle around, and wet a line.

It was great meeting those who I have not, and it was good seeing some familiar faces. It was also really awesome to see something called a SCANOE! I'm still impressed with those outriggers, Keith.

I spent most of my time talking, and eating, so, I did not catch any fish. I did see a small pike take a dragonfly near some weeds.

Kevin, thank you, again, for the sausage!

If you caught any fish or took any pictures please share 'em!

That scanoe is really sweet as long as you don't stand up

Looks like am awesome outing too bad I couldn't make it the Chain tourney just drained all my energy struggled to stay awake once I took a shower at home. Hope to make the next outing and bring the boat.

I had a blast out there Saturday. Thanks Kev for putting this together and Justin for putting up post. Great to see quite a few members show up. I got on a few nice fish later but the highlight was the food and conversation.

was a great day to be out and seemed like a good time had by all. thanks for everyone that came and brought things to contribute to the day (even if it was just contributing your time to just being out there and enjoying yourself)
fishing was meh but the experience, laughs, and just having a good ole fun time really made up for the lack of hook sets .

I will be throwing more of them in the future for sure.

I spent part of the morning there picking on panfish and small bass. Did not participate in the gluttony, but looked right up my alley.

I have to ask about the sausage, what and where?

There is a sand side and concrete launch side of pier. If you stay close to the pier on concrete side you would be fine in your boat. The rocks are not as close to the pier as they look in picture. I've seen full on bass boats at beck.

Thx for the invite Kevin....I had work obligations that prevented me from making it out. Looks like it was a blast! Next one I'll do everything I can to be there.

Sidebar: I have the sense of humor of a high school kid so all of the comments about Kevin's sausage has my laughing pretty hard. lol
