4.20 Jokers

Postby RonG » Apr Fri 21, 2017 1:07 am

Slow today (fishing that is, not the stupid wind that makes everything hard and never quits  ). Only 3 crappies at each of the 2 ponds I tried today vs 16 and 11 the day before.

Me and the fish still having fun with the Strike King Mr. Crappie Jokers. That was the only lure needed.

Yes, the males are darkening up to impress the chicks. Spawn is coming soon with hopefully more fish coming in closer to shore.

A couple short outings just before sunset yesterday and today. Stupid crappies are playing hard to get, but I did get a nice bleugill on a joker tonight. He really sucked it in considering the jig is rather long and the gap rather wide.

Thanks! It was nice meeting you too. 8) I fished a little longer after you left but had to leave because I couldn't tolerate that chubby teenage girl outfishing me and everyone else nearby. :?
