First time posting long time reader of site. Fished the Des Plaines north of Park Ridge this morning, saw a large turtle swimming by shore, a lot of minnows which is a good sign. Got some strikes from Northerns on a jig and twister tail, and inline spinner. Caught one about "18 on a small floating Rapala, no picture had to return her to the water safely.It was a nice morning for spring fishing.
