Chech Out My Bass

Postby Bustacapfourtyfive » Aug Sun 19, 2012 2:06 pm

Got out on the South Pool at 5:30 AM. Worked from the boat dock towards the dam with Spinners and Cranks all the way around to the downed trees on the back side with no luck. Back tracked the same route and got MY BASS. All 7 inches. As you can see in the picture it is a fine Bass, just a little to small, but a Bass all the same and my SKUNK is gone.... Then my wife turn the heat up with a nice 2-3/4 Lbs. Bass. She got it on her Clackin' Crank off the shore my the deep spot across from the island. Then it was my turn 10" Purple Worm Texas rigged, Hit the weed pad across from the concrete wall, ran the Worm over the top of the weeds and this beast came up out of the water and crushed that Worm. It went back into the weeds and I lost him. But a great day out on the water. Can't wait for next weekend to do it again.... The last Picture is from Saturday the 18Th...

Like I said before she should office guide service (real nice looking bass). Didn't post reports but Tues evening I fished S.P for an hour. Nothing on buzz-baits. Switched to frogs for stumps and weeds and had 3 blow-ups but no fish. Still need to give more patience and set the hooks harder with these frogs it seems. Gave S.P a go Friday evening also for 1.5hrs w/buzz-baits and spinner-baits with no luck. Fished frogs again... along weed-edge across from small island on south shore had 2 blow-ups in about a 10min span but no fish. Maybe your wife got one of them for vengeance (I hope). Darn waters so pea soup murky I think top-water is best way to go or bright cranks but they have to be pretty darn near the fish to be seen.
