Fished for musky for a little while and ended up with a few follows and then this fish bit after I saw it suspended 20 feet from shore. Lots of big jumps and flips. What a blast. To top it all off you can go get a beer and enjoy the moment. You gotta love this place. Released the fish after the pictures

Holy Crap!!!

That's a monster fish. I never even imagined that lake to have fish that big. I am definitely going to have to visit there at some point. What are they charging these days to fish there??

Great job on the fish and welcome to the site! :D

You should change your name to addicted to musky! What a catch!

Any more details on the fish? how long, what you caught it on, how heavy your line was ect. . .

What do you recommend as far as rod setup/what to use? I was thinking of maybe using live bait, like some 6-8 in. golden roaches. Would those work? If you're looking for another place to go, I'd try Independence Grove. There are some very nice sized musky and northern in there, and it could be fished with a boat (rented boat). I'm definitely going to either Twin Lakes or Independence Grove, or both, this weekend, depending on the weather.

Hey Phil I use an 8 foot shimano calcutta rod with a calcutta 300te I was using 17lb test. I bet live bait would work but I have not had much luck with bait.I like to throw big baits but dont want to give to much away.Work at it and you will figure out what is best for you.

Holy shittake :!: I fish ther often. I've seen some big carp in there but had no idea the skis were that big. Boat rentals there are reasonable (compared to Busse) I have musky gear, trolling motor and battery. I'm ready whenever you are.

I think if I look at this post one more time, in some cultures I might actually be considered married to this fish. And the fact that there might be bigger ones in there blows me away. I don't know what the hell I would do if I hooked into a fish that big. I think the first order of business would be to change my pants.

Again, great fish man!!!

Oh my..... that is a VERY nice fish. I covet your fish..........
Learn your knots, LUBE your knots, CHECK your knots-ALWAYS!!, and RE-check periodically ....... and you'll have AT LEAST 50% less break offs... (and less leaving your lures and tackle in the fish's face, which is often soon fatal.... :(

Yeah, it really does, doesn't it?

Okay guys, this post gets pushed to the top every so often and people see it for the first time and inevitably comment. Don't know about Aris, but I was pretty serious when I said it looked like he was posing with a mount. Take a closer look and notice that, adjusting for the different tilt of the fish in both pictures, all of its fins are in the same exact position in both photos. Plus, he's by no means a musclebound dude, and it seems he's exerting absolutely no effort in holding that fish up for the camera. Anyone else a little suspicious here? Also, guy's only got four posts total. Just makes me go, hmmmm...

I agree. He is holding it with no effort, and the fins are in the same place. We'll never know. :|

I'm a believer in the fact that there are muskie like this in Twin Lakes, as I saw it attack my bait with my own eyes 2 weeks ago. As for it being a mount, I just looked at the pics more closely and it really does like the fish is a mount. Or maybe we're all just wrong...

PS- Where the hell is this addicted2bass? Seems like we got some questions for him.

I have seen some monsters in there years ago!!! N' I mean Monsters. Had a couple follow up before. They are in there. I believe they eat most of the yellow bass that were thrown in there years ago. I use to be able to hammer the yellow bass at this lake. But not anymore...
