What do they usually have just a bunch of "big splash" lures and some heavy gear?

If it has to do with fishing, they have it. You name it, and they got it, from 1/64 jigs to outboard engines and everything in between.

For best selection, get there early. By 7:30 the line is very long.

I will be there buying a bunch of stuff I don't need along with one or two things I might actually get around to using.

Is there a decent selection of rods and reels in good condition or is it more antique?

Used reels, possibly a few new ones. I wouldn't call them antiques, but there might be a few out dated reels in the bunch.

There are plenty of muskie stickbaits and bucktails along with mostly older rods and reels. You may be able to find a few diamonds in the rough. Pretty good crowd there this morning.

Spent the morning at the meet. It has grown. Only 2 outboards for sale, one there and a picture of one. More reels than you can shake a stick at. If you were looking for a musky rod, there were tons of them, lots new. Lots of new lures also. plus the usual assortment of used junk, reels, rods, gear etc. Nice show overall.

I was there between 8-9, picked up a bunch of large lures cheap. Some new, some used, definitely got twice as much bang for my buck than I would have at a store.

Spent a couple hours or so there. Some folks dropped prices later on one group went to $2 crank and stick baits and musky lures turned down to 4 and 5 so gave them some business. Picked up a lure in raffle win and 3 spinning rods for 10 total bucks. Didnt need them but for the price I couldn't resist new rods even if lower end graphite.
