Shoreline:
Location: Lakewood Forest Preserve - Fairfield Road and Rt. 176 in Wauconda, IL. Adjacent to Taylor Lake. Entrance to preserve 1/4 miles west of Fairfield on Rt. 176.
Fish: Largemouth bass, crappie, channel catfish, bluegill/sunfish, rainbow trout (during inland trout season)
Hours: Sunrise to sunset
Jay's General Comments
A beautiful little lake located in the Lakewood Forest Preserve. Banana Lake is mostly know for being one of the Catchable Trout Program lakes of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Each Spring and Fall, catchable rainbow trout are stocked in Banana Lake for the purpose of being caught and kept.
