LaSalle report 3-30-2018

Postby Fonzie » Mar Fri 30, 2018 8:05 pm

I fished LaSalle today from about 8:00am to 11:00am.
I wanted to get my boat out and do a shakedown run.

I caught 8 fat, well fed, largemouth {none were over 15" and I lost three others at the boat}...
I also got two 7" smallies.

The North pool was around 75 degrees.
The South pool was around 48 degrees.

I am not familiar with the bass regs on LaSalle because I don't eat bass.
Anyways, There is a prominent notice posted by the launch that says that daily limit for bass {Large and Smallmouth} is one per day and it must be 18" +

Lo the angler. He riseth in the early morning and upsetteth the whole household. Mighty are his preparations. He goeth forth with great hope in his heart and when the day is far spent, he returneth, smelling of strong drink, and the truth is not in him.

Last time I was there I as well caught two 7inch smallies, apparently that's as big as they get...

Good to hear about some largies being caught. And an old bass over 18inches may be a little too radioactive for me.
Nature and shit.

cute lil' bugger. I wish I still saw little one year old smallies on my lake because I'd know they were still spawning. Haven't seen a baby smallmouth in years
