Headed our after work for a few hours to one of my local stretches and had some success. Started by throwing a swim jig at the edge of a current seam and had a few quick hits and misses. The next one was on and shook off. Convinced at this point they were just swiping at it, I decided to switch to a jig and craw. This proved to work out almost immediately, as I had a nice one on to battle with. It pulled hard, dragged me into current and was one of my more memorable battles I’ve had in a while. Thought I had a behemoth on at first, but ended up being a decent one. Measured just over 18”. Ended up picking up 3 more on the jig, ranging from 12-14”. Another bonus fish came on a whopper plopper right before dusk. All in all a great night after work!
