6//7 local ponds

Postby Ljvalq » Jun Fri 07, 2019 9:33 pm

I haven’t had time to make it down to the river this year, but couldn’t pass up a fantastic evening, so I hit the neighborhood ponds. After reading all the success of the whopper plopper, decided to pick one up this season. However I did not get a chance to use it. Started with my usual rig, zoom pumpkin gold worm cut in 1/2 on a 1/4 oz jig head. Landed about 6 in under an hour 2 at 17”, with this one putting up the best fight. Looking forward to making the time to hit the fox soon

Good one.
It seems like for me the Whopper Plopper bite is non existent the last year. Maybe it’s the water I fish or I don’t put enough time into using it.

Thanks for posting. What you describe using is the original NED rig.
