Weekend 6-29 & 30 - two Floats

Postby badger75 » Jul Mon 01, 2019 12:05 pm

Got out for a solo float on Saturday. 4 SMB, largest was 18". HOT! Geneva dam to Glenwood FP.

Sunday joined 2 friends for a 5 hr trip Oswego to just past Orchard Road. New water to me. Great time, beautiful stretch, plan to do it again. Only 2 SMB. Got off the water just in time before the storm hit. Ended up under the Rt 30 bridge to transfer equipment from friends van to my Jimmy. With the rain deluge and wind we still got wet.

Sorry no pics. My home computer is not working. My IT dept (son) is working on it.

I've only fished that Oswego stretch once with marginal success but yeah, it looked interesting. At some point I'll head west to that river. It's been so high this year.

Nice report. Been about 5 years since I hit that Oswego stretch. :(

First time wading this year because of the high water. I did fish with a friend at Saw Wee Kee, under the Washington Street bridge in Oswego and under US 30. Not much success. Water was murky. 5 hours of work only netted 2 dink SM, 14” walleye and a couple of cats between us. You didn’t miss much in that stretch. Still was nice to get out.

You need to check out the stretch from Sheridan to Wedron. Prettiest part of the Fox. Good fishing too.
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid

I have waded down by Millbrook at shu shu ga canoe launch. Never went any further down stream. Are there spots to wade at Sheridan or wedron? I am always game for new areas to explore
