Looks purty. I had someone try to show me how to fly fish years ago and never got in to it. I'm not patient enough.

Mighty purty rod. Weight?

Take it to the WB of the dupe for smallies.
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid

Beautiful looking rod! I've always admired fly fishing but never tried it. I can't even keep a buzzbait out of a tree, I'd hate to see what would happen if you put a fly rod in my hands.
Good fishing,

Steve

Thanks!
yeah man, its very limiting where and when ya can use the things, but there are the very rare times when it will out produce other rods/bait/lures, those are the days I live for. There is a real sense of accomplishment when you tie the fly yourself, use a whippy rod and a line to fool a fish. Now don't get me wrong, I am not one of those stuck up elitists, more of a down to earth realist/opportunist that got hooked on it 25 years ago, same with hunting, once you go black powder ya get hooked on that too (and it makes your season longer).
its a very cool way to fish but a fly rod wouldn't go into my survival pack.
the added bonus is I use it to catch bait for the spinning gear often.
I learned from a book (before the internet....darn it I am getting old LOL)
