Postby oldsalt » Dec Sat 14, 2019 4:29 pm

Found the boat i want, with motor i want, brand i want, a good price ,but here is my problem ugly color, not a swing tongue trailer, biggest concern it is a new 2018 ,with a cover on boat only not motor and has been stored outside for close to two years, what about rust ,mold, mildew, motor not being started for that long, or i can have same boat built a 2020 ,good color, swing tongue trailer around 3000, more, and would i loose resale value on a new 2018, donit know what to do ,plus if i buy the 2018 it will be three months to test it.

Get the new one Mike. You only live once. I have tried to call you several times but no answer.
Are you trading in your Ranger?

Buy new. You'll get screwed on the warranty as the second owner. If you buy during show season you usually get 5 years on the motor and lifetime hull warranty as the original owner.

I think it depends on the price and $3k isn't enough to make me go the used 2018 route.
