August outing

Postby crankybass » Aug Mon 12, 2019 2:54 pm

After spending this past Saturday morning at the DMV, I decided to head north for an afternoon expedition. The conditions weren't bad, but my solunar app didn't forecast a good day. Well, I am glad that I take other factors into account. I landed 4 in a little over 4 hours, with my PB (length 22", weight 4.45lbs) coming in the late afternoon during some cloud cover, on a T-Rigged Strike King Rage Bug in Moon Juice. GP Rage Bug landed the other three, one 17", one 15", and two 13". Here's the big girl:

Sorry you had to deal with the DMV. Great bass to ease the suffrage.

Great seeing you and really cool to see you land that beaut from the opposite bank  Wish I was a little closer to help you photograph. You mentioned the solunar thing on the phone that day and I kinda chuckled myself, I've learned to take that with an absolute grain of salt. Wasn't too shabby of a day on my side of the lake either, though I'm happy I had the balls to bring a chatterbait with this time since the frog got one blowup all day and squat else.

Nice one!

I do not remember the last time I was in a DMV office, but I do know, that I do not miss the stellar customer service they always seem to provide.

The chatterbait in August on a weedy lake does take some stones! I can attest to the great catches you had out there. I forgot to add to my post that when I put her back, I had my thumb and thumb-side of my hand in her mouth--I was holding her and moving her back and forth to get some water moving through her gills. Well, she chomped down on my thumb/hand! Man, she left some marks. :o
