These were from the 3 days leading up to all my ponds and lakes freezing up. Water temps were between 34 and 37 degrees. Shit got seriously tough out there. Other than the perch the bass were caught from lakes or ponds near home. I think the temps crashed so hard and fast it seriously effected how fish reacted to those water temps. Last year I/we had no problems getting multiple fish to bite right up until ice up. The biggest bass (2nd biggest of the year) was still shallow and hit a slow-slow retrieved S-Waver 168 and a jig and jerkbaits on the others. The perch hit a MegaBass Vision 110 and hit it and fought with the authority of a 2+lb bass. When I saw what I had on and how freakishly large it was, I had a mental lapse and I almost grabbed the net but then just lifted it in the boat lol. Should have got a measurement on it but did get a weight, at 1-1/2lbs. Idk perch well but Iā€™m thinking 14ā€¯ range(?) I was actually most impressed with its coloration. Pretty fish
