3/27/21 On the board and in a new way.

Postby Busse Jim » Mar Sat 27, 2021 9:41 pm

Got out for a short float on “my” new Yaks maiden voyage.

Yes, I said Yak! You guys finally got me. Was presented with an opportunity, I just couldn’t pass up. He was practically giving it away and now you can call me Busse yakkin’ Jim. :D Some of you might recognize it

5pm-7, grey skies, little wind, good vis.
Paddled out to my fav spot and 5 mins later had my first bass of the year and first yak bass a 15” 1.8lber on a chatter. 8)

Twenty mins later a 14” 1.7 lber.

Spot one of the Eagles circling overhead. 25 mins and another 14” 1.5lber in a little sprinkle.

30 mins more with a change to my magic spinner got me a 15” 2 lb even bass.

Well there ya go. Stick with the old moniker though. Looks like some DPR time is in your future.

Keep calm and fish on...

That's a fine looking kayak! ;)

So glad you're giving it new adventures and that you're on your first fish of the season!

Nice ride Jim!

Not surprised to see you pull in some bass out there, but nice work.

Forgot to say that new launch looks great. Did they take out the old ones?

Is the new launch for carry in only? no trailers?

The new launch is just for carry-ins. The regular boat launches are still in place.

Beautiful! 5 kayak trips there since ice out and I can say things are different this year. A lot of anglers are really missing out and are going to be stumped when they see where these fish are come “angler weather”

I mean smallies at the lake front in 34 degrees in 4 feet of water in march... There really are different levels of understanding in this game.

And you have it Jim! Well done beautiful kayak!

It’s going to be a wonderful year

Now that I’ve eased my pressure and have most all videos already uploaded and scheduled to release I can now take time to maybe get back into writing which I’ve always enjoyed and desperately need some sharpening up on.
Love these written reports especially when their from legendary Angler Busse “yak attack “ Jim haha
