Delly , Geneva Area.

Two of the best lakes in southern Wisconsin. Only a short cast away from Chicago.

Yeah the ice guys are freaking out about the lack of ice :lol: They may have to wait a couple more weeks but the extended forecast looks a little chilly.

Cool turkeys, if you were in the spring grove/ twin lakes area they are most likely escapees from the hunt club off 173

Cool stuff! I did some scouting up and down the Fox the other day. 'Might post some video of the big ice discs floating downstream like a bunch of bumper cars. It looked great in person, not sure how it looks on my cheap camera.

Hey Mike,
When are you moving to Del-Mar ? I launch there as much as I can as I have a good friend with a house in that subdivision {plus his cousins have houses as well}
They are all really good people and you would like them. In fact, my friend is on the neighborhood board of directors :wink:

Did you see anybody catch a thing in the public launch inlet? Did they try along the pronounced weedlines on either side ? I couldn't see if the whole inlet looked "safe"....

Sounds like you are getting ready to move. Is the new place close to Delevan or Geneva? If I could talk my wife into moving I would be up on Delevan, somewhere.

Fonz, it will be a few years before i get up there , my buddy lives In DelMar and is cool guy who lets me launch there if i want. No one was catchin from what i saw and there was open water just down the channel , basically looked like the whole lake was still wide open. Fishman, i am always on the lookout for a move up there . I now have 4 friends who have just moved over the border in last 3 years and everyone only has positives about there move up North. I really consider myself more Wisconsin than Iliinois for about the last 6-7 years.

Last summer one day while fishing I saw a for sale sign. Looked like a nice house on the water, but on the small side. I called the number and was dumbfounded by the price. It was 1.25 million. Nice house, but not worth that kind of money.
