Had to give Delly my final try and have given it last rites. We caught 7 Bass or so in a few hours and zero Pike on a perfect morning to catch them. All Bass in 16-17 inch range and i deemed very poor quality for this once great Lake.Skinny and no fight to them. Will be tough to want to go there again and maybe i will, but for the short term it will be at other
fine Lakes just over the border. Some Delly Bass ImageImageImage
Larry could not help himself before we even left the launch at LizzyImage
We caught 15 or so sight fishing alot of them in the clear calm water nothing bigger than 16 but alot of action to fill in part of the dayImage

Nice trip, as usual, Yote. Those first few pics the bass don't look horrible from Delly. Look to have some weight to em. Not just skinny bodies with big ol' heads. Sucks to hear about Delly, though. Like I said, now that I've got a boat, I was planning on making some trips up there this Fall. I'll try some other lakes instead, I guess.

Mr Smallie and Eyes and others , dont let my post deter you from fishing here , there are still fish to be had. Im just a lazy old guy looking for the easy ones . While the size and numbers are down they are still some that would be fun to catch. The Pike on the other hand seemed to decline 2 years ago. For now Geneva will get the most play as long as the winds are kind to me.

Hats off to you for giving us updates and first hand reports.

Aux on the plus side there is no one out there fishing had the Lake to ourselves. Yes our posts from the last 10 years or so look to be distant memories of the truly special fishery she was. Will be interesting to see how the future will lay out. Our little network of guys who fish there all keep in touch, so there will be future reports im sure. Wish i could have got you out there 2 years ago.
