Been a while since I have launched at Linn ramp. Last time, we stopped for bait at the Pier. As I remember it was up for sale. Next year I hope to get back in the swing of things and hit Geneva and Delevan. Is the Pier going to be open next spring, or will it be closed or sold.

When the "Pier" was first put up for sale, the asking price was 650,000.00. I looked to see what the price is now, and its off the market. I wonder what they are asking for it. Just curious.

Troessen still guiding out there as of the Fall. Terry there used to be many Boat rentals on the Lake back in the day on Geneva . They used to call them Liveries. Would be cool to see a rental back again. AS OF last year i thought it was pretty cool that you could still get one from Genva Bait for 75 bucks for whole day. The Owner has gone under hard times as far as his health last i heard will be interesting to see what happens with shop as the Wife is not getting any younger

Wow, I never knew that about Geneva. Being such a large lake, I only fished it out of my boat or a friends boat. Never had need to rent a boat. Now for bait on the other hand, that would have been handy.

We used to stop at the Pier and buy all our bait there, along with jigs, tails, etc. We stopped going there when my buddy had to pee and asked to use the john. The girl told us, we do not spend enough money to get to use the john, HUH. She said to costs too much to keep it open so we were SOL. We then started buying our bait elsewheres and launching in Williams bay.

I have known guys who have owned business' and because of customer satisfaction, and returning customers, they had to hire more people. Some guys even opened second stores. One example I can think of is Lee's. He will bend over backwards to make the customer happy, and he will give you some great prices. I also have know others that did the same thing. I wonder how many other guys they did this to, and it turned them off on the place and they also went elsewheres for bait. They seem to have screwed themselves.
