Lake Geneva walleye walleye

A few years ago I started noticing walleyes following my chatterbaits early in the morning after fishing the lake for 20 years I never caught one it was very exciting to see, finally four years ago I got my first walleye there I've slowly figured them out and finally had my first limit and more a few days ago what a great feeling as I am not a walleye guy thanks to Matt for teaching me how to throw a jerkbait I really didn't know how to use them before he showed me 10 or 15 years ago we also got a lot of nice Bass in a very short time, before for all the craziness started on the lake at 10am.

Excellent report. Those are nice walleyes to, not the stogie size I'm used to seeing.

The elusive walleye are not elusive any longer. Great work figuring them out.

Mike seems to find those eyes all the time. I fish the same areas and have blanked for them there on anything but live bait in the Fall. Always wanted to fish an all night on a weekday and see what happens. Definitely a tough niche fishery that Mike has put the time in to find success.

Great report Mike. It's always great to hear someone breaking out of their comfort zone and conquer a new challenge.

Walleye are an elusive species for me.

I am waiting until I can retire from work and just fish like others I know but that seems like a dream still at this point.

Nice fish you caught there Mike! I thought the story was going to end with one walleye, but it turns out you got three of them :D
If you're fishing slow and not catching anything, fish slower.
