Grab your Fly Charters

Postby Ksum » Jul Tue 21, 2020 7:18 pm

Had the pleasure of Fishing with Captain Austin Adduci on The K3 today. With all the Covid stuff going on and my wife and son in the compromised group we are staying home for our summer vacation. I have only fished the Kankakee River once before in Wilmington so I was more then ready to fish new water. Austin has a temporary reduction in prices during the Covid crisis and with my wife's blessings, I booked a trip. All I can say is what a truly great experience! The area fished is very natural and we hooked up with a good number of fish. I had a couple of better smallies to the boat but they had the knack of un- buttoning at boat side or tossing the hook in a way only smallmouth bass can do. Grab my fly Charters and Austin Aducci is a truly a great experience for Anyone who likes to fish Moving Water.. What a Great way to spend the day! Check out his website Grab the your fly Charters, you won't be disappointed!

Rambler, Please don't tell me you NEVER caught a Horse fly or Deer Fly on Light tackle. The fight is amazing and their ability to draw blood on your ankles, well that just adds to the drama. In all seriousness, Grab Your Fly charters is a great experience for someone who does not fish the Kankakee River. Not leaving the state of Illinois this year, I literally felt like I was somewhere out there with plenty of action and Great Guidance. Austin is very personable to make this a day on the water, well worth the time and money! I'll stop reliving the day on windycity fishing but did want to share a trip that is well executed and FUN, even for an old guy like me.

Had many a bloody encounter with deerflies in the Michigan woods of my youth. Still hate those little MFs.

Didn't get that 'Grab Your Fly' was the name of the operation. Sorry for being temporarily obtuse.

Rambler, not a problem. I am old and crusty as well! Truth be told when I'm unzipped and someone gives me a clue it takes a bit longer to sense the urgency of closing shop. I've been staining my fence the last, few days. Believe me when I say fishing is a way better way of spending ones time!

Ksum: This all reminds me advice my dad gave me years ago. The 3 rules of being an old fart:
1. Never pass by a bathroom
2. Never trust a fart
3. Never ignore a hard on
:D
