The Kankakee water levels dropped enough for me to get in at my spots yesterday. The wind made casting a bit difficult but still was a beautiful day to get out. Bagged three nice cats, all on a blade bait. A dozen smallies, all 12ā€¯ or less but still provided some decent action. Water was murky, 74 degrees and slowly rising due to the overnight rain. Hopefully turned the corner and summer patterns are here.
