N.E. Illinois Report Nov.-23-2018

Usgs 1.75, clarity 3ft, water temp. 37-39, air temp 49, cloudy, winds ESE 10-20mph, mid morning to early afternoon wade/bank fish 3 locations for 4 hours.

Threw an Erie Darter Jr on 1/8oz keeperhook into 3-8ft of protected dead slack current break/ledge areas with a mix of rock/wood/muck/moss. Slow bottom ticking retrieve. 12 bass, 11"-18".

Excellent bite for cold water, late Nov. Didn't bother trying anything else. If it would have been sunny, the bite might have even been better. Everyone have a good holiday season.

Nice Kamala! Props to you I’ve used those eerie darters as well thanks to your posts. They do work well in cold water. Thanks again for sharing that.

Thanks everyone. Don't post much anywhere. Fish the river mainly spring/fall. Summer wading is just too hard on my lower back and joints as I have gotten. I like other cold water plastics, but these are a first choice.

I fish more urban ponds and such since they are closer to home, and some are 10 min away. Some are real gems.

Had a unreal late May morning, where me and a partner caught 30 largemouth 3-6lbs in 5 hrs. Easily over 100lbs of bass. Incredible morning.

Nice day of fishing, glad you got out before the blizzard.

That first one looks like it took a bullet. Or a lamprey.
