Went up to IG this afternoon at 4 to spend a couple hours but unfortunately, lightning started in about 15 minutes after I got there so that was my cue to pack it in. But in those 15 minutes, I must have seen about two dozen bass, mostly in pairs, within a foot or so of the shoreline. They didnt seem to mind my presence too much and only when I got real close did they move away from shore. Even then, if I held my ground, they came right back within a few seconds.
The biggest looked maybe 2#, but I didn't do too much scouting since the graphite stick in my hand was definitely tempting fate. Hopefully this storm system passes fast and I'll give it a go tomorrow. Meanwhile, with the rain coming down, I scouted a few areas along the DPR and the water looks to be down about 3' from its high point so I can't wait to get out and hit some spots.
