Perfect morning for fishing!

Postby Slappin'_da_Bass » Jul Sat 16, 2011 3:42 pm

Went out at about 8 AM. No sun, cloudy, no wind, calm water... basically perfect morning for fishing. Took my nephew out with me and we caught some nice bass (what we were targeting). We used plastic worms.

Scary when you leave at 600 am and its already over 80. Nice bass. What type of worms and color you using?

I used a watermon colored stik-o-worm (wacky style). My nephew used a blueish/purple rigged worm.

I love that place . . . .you can do well both from the shore and from a boat. Anyone else notice that more bass seem to have been butchered by poor hook removal? I've caught at least half dozen this year with lips mutilated in one form or another. Very sad to see.
