Now from Miami–-hot weather, hot fishing part 2

Postby ganz1960 » Jan Sun 12, 2020 4:03 pm

Hello all,

As a follow-up to my post from Corpus Christi, I had a great time there, as you can see in a separate thread. But since my retirement is about traveling, trying new things, and being "anti-cubicle" (where I toiled for 34 years), I don't stay in any one place for very long anymore. So…I've moved on to a month in Miami!

And to a month of peacock bass fishing! Really amazing walking canals and lake shores to sight cast to them. They're vicious and aggressive. Lots of fun. Here are some of the ones I caught in my first week or so.

Man I went out there 2 years ago right after a bad cold front came through and couldn't catch one to save my life. Looks like conditions are the polar opposite.

Thanks for sharing, makes me wanna bite the bullet and book a trip
