Skokie river

I live very close to Skokie river and I was curious if anyone ever fishes it? If so is there any bass and or pike population or just carp? I have been very curious about it, but always decide against it and had straight for the lagoons. Any info appreciated.

But seriously, I used to fish the No Branch between Dempster & Oakton when I worked in Niles. Caught some small LMBs on UL spinners.

There's a fishing weir made by Native Americans 200 years ago just So of Dempster in case you're into history.

Used to be big water mill there to. Surprised a small indian weir would survive all the settlement and butchering on the small stream section surrounding dempster/lincoln. Neat stuff.
