Great video CCY!

You forgot McDonald's French Fries. I read (here I think) the carp in the river love them.

Nice to know there are big white bass in there. It'll be fun once the fingerling northern they stocked last year get established and big from eating the other species in the river system. :)

Yeah that'll happen in 4yrs when they get to be an ok size to catch...probably 8yrs before something in the 40"+ range is possible. Although....there is a ton of forage in the river so it's possible those time are shortened a bit too. We shall see.

As for the French fries and carp...that video is coming! Already found a school of legit MONSTERS 30#+ that are always at one spot like clock work.

Before the tour boats were lined up on the south side of the river over by the Hyatt that was my go to shore spot for carp. I would stop at rock n roll McDonalds for coffee and fries and go catch me some carp. Had many 10-15 carp days.

That river holds a lot of different species.

Not at all my type of fishing environment but your enthusiasm, knowledge and skill make up for the yukky chicago river and urbanness. Any plans to do a kankakee/rock creek vid? Would love to see that. Very consciencious of you to add the words of warning at the end- with so many people new to kayak fishing lately.

Lol thanks man. It's not that bad lol I'd love to hit the Kank but it's a challenging spot due to spot to launch, water flow, and I'd need to use another kayak

Fun! I have to switch to Firefox for some reason Safari does not even show the vids. You still got room on that rig for a stereo system and big screen TV. :D

I have enough room to put a pretty young lady in a bikini in the back and just cruise down the river like a Boss :)

Got to watch the video, couldn't last night. That first spot you stopped, at the confluence of the north and east branch has a hump and wash out, approx 15ft down. Pretty easy to find with your electronics. It's further out from shore than where your kayaks were sitting. Big hang out for largemouths and the occasional smallmouth. Never caught white bass though, nice bonus fish to shoot for now

Really? I haven't heard that before, I haven't fished the river in about 10 years and I used to heavily, when the wind was up on the main lake. That bass sure looked like one. Be neat if they were swimming around out there, spunky little suckers. Caught my PB of 4.12 in Alabama in 05 that I thought was an 6 or 7lb largemouth. Thanks for letting me know I may not be crazy thinking that was a spot

Thanks for the info...hard to go out further from the shoreline with all the boat traffic but will try to recon the area and find it. Tons of White bass in the river and big ones too! I really fish it for them because they're so aggressive and stacked.
