Met Joetrain at Opeka!

Postby lagoonguy » Sep Thu 14, 2017 12:05 pm

Went fishing today with my friend Gayle and we met Joetrain! Great guy! We had a good time talking about his new Hobie kayak and learning about the fishing in the area.

We didn't do so well today though... not a single fish! Skunked... but that's been the story of my fishing life this past couple of months!

Saw a couple of fish moving around in the lake, but we didn't get anything.

Next time!!

It was nice meeting both of you. Yep being shore bound puts some severe limits on fishable water. I was a shore angler for years. I did pretty well because in those days I was patrolling Lake Michigan and there was usually something biting somewhere.

Been skunked at opeka plenty lately. But I only fish from the docks in the North side. So much skunk I tried DPR and I got a decent rock bass.

Try the south shore by the fence. I've done well there on bass.
