Sorry guys for the late report. My lab top crashed over the weekend. Fished from 3am -10am. Fishing was very slow out there. Between the 6 of us we had about 18 tip ups using lagre roaches. We went 2 for 3 with two small snakes around 20-23 inches. Tried for some pan fish first light with no luck just got alot of sniffers. I think the NE winds had a big role in it. The ice was a good solid 7" inches by shore but as you go further out it got thinner. There was a couple of times I found myself drilling in 1" of ice. Scary  but all in all we had a great time out there. Beer, food, some fire wood  and a great bunch of friends what else can you ask to start the season out. :D :D

Sounds like a good time Larry, but the 1" of ice scares me.
What would we all do without fishing?

Thanks for the report legend. Was anyone fishing in the channel by the public boat launch?
If you're fishing slow and not catching anything, fish slower.

Yes there were a few tips ups placed around the bridge but no one jigging the ice is still pretty thin by there.

I've been waiting for the Delavan reports to roll in......sorry to hear that the outing wasn't full of fish. It is great to get out of the house with some friends and BS and do some fishing in December tho. I'll be waiting for the next report.....may it be bountiful. :D

To fish or not to fish......that's a stupid question.
