They can be anywhere

Postby DasGoby » Dec Sat 31, 2016 8:06 am

Goby jr and I were out on dec 28th at our local sw Michigan pond. It was middle of the day and the fishing was a little tough. We tried a ton of holes and had success with two non-obvious patterns.

The first was very aggressive jigging 10 feet down in 15-20 feet of water. There would be nothing on the flasher for several minutes and then a crappie would come in right away and strike.

Goby jr found the second pattern in our last 30 minutes finding a bunch of huge gills and decent crappie fishing a weeded bottom in only 6 feet of water.

We ended up with around 20 fish in 1:45 of fishing with some good sized fish. Not on fire but I'm proud of our ability to find em.

Well, thanks for sticking around. Many guys move away and say they will remain active on WCF, but they never do. You are the one exception.

Great reports, keep 'em coming!

That kid is going to be quite the angler someday. Good for you for getting him out.
