I'm posting from a smart phone so I'm going try to keep it short.
I got about 20+ gills and perch today about 350 miles north of Chicago on a 85 acre, mesotropic lake with a max depth of 35'. Most were caught in 15 fow but I had holes from 8 to 20 fow. Good 7" of clear ice with 3" of slush made for a difficult sled pull. 4" and 5" tungen jigs did most of the work when tipped with spikes. Wackies seemed to get ripped quicky off by the gills especially on larger Swedish pimples. This is a new lake but it's as common as Busse with more than it's fair share of bucketheads as it's right in town.
One funny thing happened during the day was I lost a jig to a pike right at the hole as I as was chatting with a local. Two hours and 100 yards away he approaches and said "I found your jig attached to a 22" pike."
