POst reports from those private lakes and ponds. No need to give up the location. Sometimes just knowing they're biting in a region can be a help to others.

Got out after work on 1-7-20 for an hour. Work allows me to fish some private water near Morris, Il. Its part of a cooling system for a power plant. Got 3 SMB and one drum. Bass were 18.0", 16.0", and 18.0". Water was 58 Deg F.

The bite is strong. All four fish did not really need a hookset. Fight is strong also. The flow rate where I mostly fish is high, hence that is where I get the SMB. The go right out into the current just like a natural river.
Makes for a great way to unwind after a stressful day.
But fishing does that for me, even if I am not catching. If I were smarter on how this site works - I would insert the link to a well trafficked thread from about a year ago - "Why do I Fish" - or something like that.

On the board in 2020, nice fish Keith. Dave showed me a picture once of that roaring current, looked crazy.

Beautiful fish. I drive past some of that stuff to and from Heidecke and daydream of the fish in there.

Holy crap!
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid
