Pond 11/5/17

POst reports from those private lakes and ponds. No need to give up the location. Sometimes just knowing they're biting in a region can be a help to others.

Pond 11/5/17

Postby KankRat » Nov Mon 06, 2017 8:11 am

The wife kicked us out of the house Sunday so she could have some kind of woman-gathering. Fished a couple hours between raindrops with my two sons.
They used 2 1/2" Gulp minnows with a jig under a bobber.
I used my 4wt with a small olive crystal bugger with a "thingamabobber" a really cool little strike indicater. Both boys caught fish, but I was getting something on almost every cast. Mostly bluegiils but maybe 3 or 4 crappies.
Nothing use but all the fish were enough for Sunday afternoon entertainment.

Fishing with the kids is a blessing and crappie on the fly are always a good time. Nice pics.

Been waiting for some up to date pond reports to motivate me to fish elsewhere. Good looking panfish too.
Nature and shit.
