From the south suburbs to the northwest suburbs, the Des Plaines River provides some excellent fishing opportunities.

Hello back everyone. Life has been a little crazy for me last 2 years and posting reports was not high priority task, but I did have time to fish fortunetely (altough not as much).
I’ll start of with some pre flood (5/14) dpr smalljaws from after work quicky.

I fish northbrook area after work. Bouncing weedless jighead with keitech of flooded trees produced this one, but easy to get tangled up with all the laydowns. Last year I have seen a lot more smallies and largies than pike on some stretches of dpr.
