I pulled out a 36 incher under the 41 bridge on that same lure. Mine was yellow.

Don’t lose it they are costly.

For years I've been on the hunt for the elusive yellow pike. :sarcasm:

Thanks guys. Been breaking it out the past 2 winters with good results however very scared of snag/loss. Should probably retire it and just buy a new one. Its the last of dads stuff. This upcoming week should get good. Gonna try south of grand avenue. BTW, for some of us, fishing is the only escape, I miss reading about what yall get up to and catch.

Buy a new one and break the old one out on special occasions. I lost two in the span of a month.

You are right too that lure is a good cold water bait.

If I could only fish with one lure for the rest of my life, the Mepps Muskie Killer would definitely be a contender. Nice pike!

nice fish and lure! At least they still make musky killers so you can get some proxy lures and save your Dad's. my favorite pike lure was the blue fox musky buck in perch color. I'm down to one original left and now they only make marabou spinners

All stops since have been skunks. I missed the really warm day. I followed the moon thing and got nothing. Had a pretty cool moment by Russel Rd, sun rise with half moon going. No fish. Starting again since rain.

What colors of Musky would you recommend? What works best for you?

Nice fish! I've been wanting to add some more spinners to my tackle box for cold weather so this is helpful to know!
Good fishing,

Steve
