The change in conditions ignited the smallmouths late last week. Stole a couple hours after work and was rewarded by big numbers. Upsized the presentation to a 4" chartreuse/white Gulp minnow and used a moderately fast retrieve which was in stark contrast from the excruciatingly slow reeling from last weekend.
They were quite aggressive and lined up in a prototypical feeding slot you'd likely check in the summer months. I didn't move more than 150 yards for the entire session. Fished til sundown. In about four hours ended with over a dozen fish and contacted many more.
Someone peeping my spot.
