Venturing into the great outdoors throughout Chicagoland. More that just fishing - hiking, biking, nature trails, nature centers, geocaching, sights to see, etc., etc.
RiverEdge Park in Aurora is a really nice venue to enjoy outdoor summer concerts. "Get the Led Out" are performing in August and general admission tickets are on sale for only $5 until May 31. I saw them last year and it was so much fun. What made it even more fun was that my brother was with me. He is ten years older so a real 70s rocker. He had not seen them before and absolutely loved it. We sat pretty close and when they played Stairway to Heaven it felt like I was gonna get lifted out of my seat by the music towards the end of the song. I highly recommend checking it out. For $5, it's a no-brainer!http://riveredgeaurora.com/events/gtlo-2016/
Sounds better than Zeppelin did live.

American English is playing a block away for free, I can walk. But I wish it were a Led band instead.
Nature and shit.

Launch a kayak across the river and paddle over for a free, front row seat on the water.
I did that earlier this summer with a group of about 15 other buddies on yaks. There was probably 40 canoes and kayaks and a dozen or more powerboats. It was a fun, and unique experience.
Not too many people can say they attended a concert on a kayak!

Damn, never heard of these guys. Lead singer has a killer voice and they can for sure shred. Wish I could have gone. Going to look to see if I can get an album from them....

Great show, great crowd. I took my better half. Had one extra ticket and gave it away at the gate. Met my brother and his wife. Totally rocked. Rain / lightning moved in from the south so they had to cut their set short. They did one encore -- Stairway to Heaven -- and then the drops started falling. Overall a fun concert.
