This fish was a long time coming

Postby FazGoesFishing » Sep Fri 18, 2020 12:56 pm

I've been going to Skokie Lagoons since high school, about 20 years, but never caught a bass. This week I went out Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, got skunked the first two days and finally caught my first bass there Tuesday afternoon. It was at the rock wall by the Tower Road Boat Launch, casting a Zoom worm, texas rig (again!) just at the edge of the weeds. They are out there!!

I guess I also found which is my lucky shirt!

Way to persevere! Hopefully the next bass doesn't take another 20 years

Nice fish. Love 'goons reports.

Nice bass! Are you sure you don't play in the band System of a Down. You look slightly familiar. 8)

If you're comparing me to Serj, I'll take that as a compliment of the highest order!

'Goons are feast or famine. You can get skunked. Then again, my buddy caught 27 bass there a year or 2 ago while I was catching 10.

And there are some monsters in there - see my avatar.

Good work, Serj! Er, Faz. Good to see the bass are still biting at the Goons. Way to stick with it!
Good fishing,

Steve
