You will enjoy that and it will lead you to a lot of great fishing.

I had a Lifetime 10' SOT as my first yak. It convinced me that kayak fishing was fantastic way to fish.

That lead me to a different kayak but I need to get another one of the Lifetimes as I'm not keen on taking my 14" Hobie in the DPR as low as some sections get.

First add on should be fish slime. Seriously though I would consider at least some type of anchoring system. Then fish out of it for a while and see what you actually need and where to put it. No need to mount something then find out later it isn’t needed or should be mounted somewhere else. Also congrats and happy yakking.

I have the same one, very simple and very good kayak for beginners who are just learning kayak fishing. I installed a Raymarine dragonfly on it and it is a very nice setup. I caught my first musky in it too last march

Like Joe said, fish slime! 2nd, Ron's Gun mount. And 3rd I recommend a YakAttack LeverLoc Anchor Trolley! Great for positioning your anchor and chain drag in the direction you want to face. And congrats on the new boat!!

Just get a small landing net.. or get a full size one and chop the handle down. This way actually saves you big bucks.

Very cool and congrats, yak fishing is addictive. Like others have said I'd fish out of it a couple times and see what you think you need. I will say that an anchor trolley will be the next addition to my kayak. Also I spoke with a guy I work with who kayak fishes and he gave me a bit of advice regarding an anchor trolley. Others may have different ideas but it seemed to make sense. He advised to make sure you attach the ends of the trolley as close as possible to the front and rear of the kayak. His first system he installed wasn't that close to the front and he would get turned in strong winds. The way he's set up now he can point his kayak directly into any wind and he stays put.

I'd invest in a new seat. Comfort will allow you to be on the water longer
