Fat bottomed girls

Postby joetrain » Apr Wed 26, 2017 2:30 pm

I got on some local water today and wasn't disappointed. I had to battle the wind a bit but I still managed 4 bass. 2 were straight up dinks, 1 was only 12 inches but really fat and then I caught Big Fat Fanny. She hit a white spinnerbait and fought like a healthy 19 inch bass should.

I am always amazed when I see bass like this that somehow survives in pressured water.

The four bass hit on 3 different lures. White spinnerbait, a crappie jig (took a page from RonG's book) and an almost forgotten lure, the Slug Go.

I also ran into a fellow WCFer (Griefmop). Nice to meet you Andrew.

I spent half my money on fishing, gambling, alcohol, women and billiards. The other half I wasted.

Yeah it's no wonder the largemouth is so revered. That's a beast.

 Herb Reeds Original Sluggo?!, The year was 1996, Busse, Bode, Tampier. Had so much fun with that lure, Bass loved it. Walking the surface, dropping it into holes. that was my 1st soft plastic lure. Like the Banjo now  Still have a few un-opened packs and half my re-melted torn up ones. Constantly buying new packs of em almost every outing. One reason i don't fish plastics that much :D
