SW slough

I wanted to explore some sloughs before they got overgrown with weeds. Some of these spots are super hard to access, and unfishable once you get to the shore due to fallen timber and super shallow water. I was able to get one nice 17" bass on a weedless senko rigged whacky, buried thick in the weeds. A buddy of mine got one on a buzz bait. Seems like fish are getting into a summer pattern.

The post spawn period is my second favorite fishing period of the year. And it looks like it should be full swing in a couple weeks, based on your results. Nice fish.

So many sloughs I write off and never fished in that area. Always wanted to try tomahawk and tampier but like you said it always looks so weedy. This makes me want to try them again!

Nice bass on the worm and good news about the buzz bite.
