Heidecke 5-18

Postby RiverRat » May Mon 19, 2014 10:52 pm

Not a lot on the walleye front but the crappie bite at heidecke has been pretty amazing lately. I had gotten out before work on day and while searching around for walleye ran into a ton of crappie. Called up a buddy who loves to crappie fish and we made plans to head out Sunday. We got into fish right away, slip bobber, jig, or dropshot did the trick but you had to figure out which one they wanted, which changed from reef to reef. That was the key, keep moving and once you found them key in on what how they wanted it and once the bite stopped, move. End of the day we kept 20 for the 3 of us to fry up and threw back x3 as many more. I still haven't gotten a nice walleye this year, so I guess if you can't beat um, join um.

Hey I see the one I released last week there! no just kidding... pretty nice stringer way to go! I have heard great things on the crappie bite this year I wanted to try my self. I ran into this one casting for bass, and walleye. Walleye fishing has been great for me this year with several nice fish being caught.

Lunch is served
I spent half my money on fishing, gambling, alcohol, women and billiards. The other half I wasted.
