Went back to yesterdays hotspot this a.m. It sucked

. Only got 2 then the rain started increasing. Started heading back & when I reached the lengthy no-wake zone, a swim jig from my FL tackle caught my eye. I said "screw it! Im cold & soaked already, what am I trying to avoid at this point, anyway?!".
Tied on the black/blue/purple jig & threaded on a gambler ugly otter for a trailer. 2nd cast:

A real nice largie hammered it.
About a dozen casts later, threw at a couple laydowns & the jig got hammered. Was pretty certain this was no bass, & when it came up near the boat, I saw bars. A nice musky, what I would guess i the upper 30s to low 40s. Tussled withit for about a minute or so & the hook pulled. The 2nd respectable musky ive hooked up on bass gear & came unbuttoned since Ive been here

.
Shortly after got this little guy

Moved 2 other decent fish that I assume were bass before a 15"pike snipped my jig off, thereby ending my 30 minutes tossing around my 1 swimjig I had with

& it was begining to pour, so that effectively ended the excursion.
