Steak question

Postby ffishman » Jan Mon 14, 2013 7:05 pm

I know, I know, its a crap place, but. I enjoy a good steak as much as anybody else. I never cared for Ponderosa or Sizzlers, they were really junk. Anyway another one of those cheapie steak places just opened up a couple of miles from me, Lonestar steak. Cost of steaks is really cheap, is the meat really cheap also. Anybody eat there?

I equate Lonestar with Outback and have eaten at both way too many times given I take 30-40 business trips per year. Generally it's not bad, but take it for what it is . . . . . the Applebees/Chilis of steak restaurants. Anyone that compares them to the likes of Mortons or Ruth's Chris is not really being realistic.

I've never eaten there yet. But no way would I feel they are on the level of Mortons etc. With the price being so cheap, I will have to try it. We've been to out back, and were not impressed.

Lonestar steak house ...Nasty IMHO poor meat.
I spent half my money on fishing, gambling, alcohol, women and billiards. The other half I wasted.

I feel lone star is cheaper in meat quality than outback but more expensive on paper. Either way I'm not a fan of both either.
