Most of the time, I just mix a spoonful or two of vinegar, with enough olive oil and water to coat my steaks and then some. Add in whatever spice mixes I am feeling, and mix it all together.

This stuff is hard to find, but IMO, "Dale's" is awesome. It makes deer steaks melt like butter

I love to use red wine vinegar, a good extra virgin olive oil, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, fresh ground pepper and some kosher salt if desired. The salt and pepper usually go on right before cooking but you can toss it in the marinade if you want. If you want to stay lower sodium, just take out the kosher salt. All the other ingredients, especially the vinegar will give it a good zing.

My recipe is very simple to 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, garlic powder, but the key to it all is vacuum seal the steaks up and place in fridge. In less than 4-6 hours the steaks will be perfectly marinated like it had been for 24 hours. Then before throwing on the grill I like rubbing a white onion cut in half on a cleaned grill for flavor and seasoning the steak with salt and pepper before going on grill. This recipe is very high in sodium since I don't care about my health yet since I'm still young
