Whole Foods near Woodfield mall...or Miejers on Golf road...Miejers fish always smells strong though, insist on smelling anything from a store that sells on that kind of a level.

I'd also check out Supreme Lobster on North Ave. in Villa Park. Best seafood in the metro area. They usually have Walleye, and I guarantee, if won't smell fishy.

I've been tempted to buy the Walleye from Meijer's in Elgin, but haven't yet. I will, and report back.

I ended up going to Supreme Lobster to buy the Walleye and lake perch and it was very fresh. They also have a nice selection of many other types of fish. My buddy and I ended up having a awesome fish fry as we got are fishing gear ready for spring.

Don's Dock in Des Plaines. A bit more of a hike but I used to work there as a kid and let me tell you, that is some of the best fish you will ever get. You will pay a bit more for it but you know it is fresh. Also, it is family run for almost 60 years and they truly care about their customers.

Another good thing is that in all the years that I worked there and my brother worked there we never saw any of the workers or the owners messing with food or doing anything unsanitary. Everyone that has worked in food service can tell you horror stories and honestly, I couldn't tell you one about that place. It just needs to be said because now-a-days you never know.

Well done. I'm actually a little jealous.
