Do you fish the Kish?

Spookin Around 8/13/17

My internal body clock woke me up at 5 am to go fishing so I decided to try the kish for the first time this year. Started at the spot I am familiar with, with a trusted roundhead and white keitech. Managed only 2 super dinks. After the two dinks, I realized my waders were leaking at the crotch. I was ready to go home when I met a friendly fisherman who pulled a nice smallie on some type of spook bait. I switched spot, switched lure and started pulling out nice fish. They were hitting the spook just on the outside of submerged trees. After getting the aggressive fish on the spook I switched to wacky 4 in. dinger to get the shy ones from under the logs. Not sure how many I pulled, but the biggest one (based on the length of my rod) was around 18 in. I also got one largie that thinks its a smallie.

"I realized my waders were leaking at the crotch..." sounds like an inside job to me.

Gotta love the Kish.
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid

Sounds like a great time. Gorgeous setting too. I miss small stream/river fishing, Fished the little vermillion way back, looked similar. Thanks for sharing
