Do you fish the Kish?

I decided to do another wade on kish since last time was so productive. This time i did not really find any pattern. The bite was on and off on pretty much any soft plastic I tied. Nothing on cranks, jerks or topwater. Nevertheless, I did manage another kish 18" smallie and two bonus (very small) walleyes. All the rest of the fish were very small and most came unbuttoned before I landed them for which I was honestly glad. The bigun came on white keitech and so did the walleyes. I also used wacky senkos and various craw imitations, they all worked.

Also, on my way back I found interesting bridge, one lane width, and looked pretty old. Cool sight in Middle of Nowhere, Illinois.

Humm, I've never used one but maybe a extendable selfie stick? Found this one on eBay http://m.ebay.com/itm/Wired-Remote-Exte ... 1173379385

3 bucks including shipping, hell I might have to get one for the occasion I fish alone and can't find someone to take a pic for me. Might be worth a try

Good stuff. Was that a rail road bridge?

Also I have the same rod(casting rod), really impressed with it so far.

Yes, railroad bridge and I think it is still used.
I also have the omen casting rod. I liked it so much that I decided to get a spinning version and it is as good.

Matt, you changed your avatar, now I feel bad...but I do like the new one better. Hey, I read one of your posts where you were mentioning possibly getting a yak. One of the guys is selling his over on the trading post and I think Craigslist.

Ya but probably next season I already spent way too much on fishing this season and I do have to eat.

Nice outing. What general stretch you fish? I'm in DeKalb, but haven't fished the Kish in awhile.

I usually fish the south branch between rockford and kirkland, but i usually google earth new spots for each outing. I try not to pound the same spot too much. I never fished the north branch
