I have a week off and decided to start it by hitting the kish. I visited couple of stretches. Was not expecting much and did not get much. Bass still did not move in or at least I did not find any. Did not see any pike either. On the other hand lack of predators seems to make all the usual food items in the river a little more reckless. Water was super clear and it was easy to spot plenty of darters/sculpins, crayfish and other bugs I cannot identify.
Surprisingly I ended up hooking two suckers with a woolly bugger. First one looked like a "forehead" snag, but couldn't tell exactly because it came loose. Managed to land a second one, which was actually hooked in a mouth. Ended the recon after that. Probably will come back in about 2 weeks to see if anything changed.
